The Scotland United Against Austerity Rally on Saturday 20th June is an opportunity for all those opposed to austerity politics - and the immeasurable damage caused by austerity politics - to unite in a show of strength against the divisive narrative and victimisation being deployed by the current government. The rally will also protest the movement towards curtailing trade union rights and limiting right to strike.
A broad spectrum of political groups, charities, trade unions and other organisations will be present - and it's important that we at Women for Independence show our support!
The rally is set to begin at 12 noon, so we invite as many of you as possible to join us in mustering around 11:30am at the Robert Burns statue in George Square, Glasgow.
Please do RSVP if you intend to join us.
P.S. We've now heard that our own Jeane Freeman will be one of the speakers at the rally. Please come along and let's give her our support!
