Come along to a fantastic day at our National Council in Paisley on Accessibility. How do we make life more accessible for all women? There will a range of topics covered giving everyone a chance to learn, contribute and work on positive solutions for the future.
We will have our usual mix of speakers, open mics, workshops and a local charity featured. Full details of the day will be added over time so please keep checking back if you want more information.

Local Charity
As always, we like to feature a local charity or campaign and so we are pleased to welcome Rainbow Turtle to tell us about their work.
Open Mics
Along with our general open mic session where you can raise any topic, there will be other opportunities throughout the day.
Workshops
We will have a variety of workshops on the day including "What is accessibility?" "What areas of life does it affect?"
Lunchtime Event
Look out for the exciting sensory lunch experience that you can participate in. It will take about 15 minutes so plenty of time afterwards to enjoy your lunchtime.

Tickets
If you can support us financially then tickets can be purchased at £6 each by clicking on the link at the bottom of this page. We also supply tickets without financial cost so please email us at info@womenforindependence.org to reserve one of them. There is no need to explain your reasons, we want to support women without question and with dignity.
We do not issue tickets. There will be a registration point on the day and if you have already booked a ticket then you name will be on the registration list.

If you bought a ticket for our January and March National Council and then buy a ticket for our National Council in June, we will give you a free ticket for our September National Council!
Who Can Attend?
The meeting is open to all self identified women. You do not need to be a member of Women for Independence to attend. If you need to bring a carer to support you then their ticket is always free. If your carer is a man then he is also welcome.* If you care for another adult or children then you are very welcome to bring them along. We do not provide a creche for children so they will need to remain with you during the event.
*We are expecting there to be men there who are attending in a caring role. They will not be participating further than in their caring role.
BSL
We will have BSL interpreters during both the morning and the afternoon sessions.
VENUE INFO
We are in the Oak Shaw Hall of The Wynd Centre.
Refreshments and Lunch
Lunch is not included in your ticket price. Paisley WFI are providing tea, coffee, sandwiches with veggie, vegan and gluten-free options included. They are providing this all for a donation to cover costs. You are also welcome to bring a packed lunch or buy something locally too.
