A chance to be inspired and to have your say on the Scotland we are building.
All women welcome - you do not need to be a member of Women for Independence to attend. We'd particularly welcome women who voted No in 2014 but are reconsidering.

11.15 Chair's Welcome and Scene setting
11.30 Constitutional Changes, Annual Report and Accounts, Announcement of New Committee
We will start the day with a short period of necessary business. Paid-up WFI members will receive information in advance, and we hope that the AGM will vote through the necessary business decisions. This session is open to all, but only members will be entitled to vote.
11.45 Inspiring Woman - Emma Ritch
Emma Ritch, Executive Director of Engender, will speak about the overall picture for women in Scotland.
Domestic Abuse in Scotland
Tracy Hart on Domestic abuse, child contact and the courts - campaigning for safety and justice!
Dr Marsha Scott, CEO of Scottish Women's Aid and WFI Committee member will speak about the bigger picture.
12.20 Social Justice; What do we need to Change - Cafe conversations
Facilitated by Rosemary Hunter and Mairi Tulbure from the National Committee, we will break into smaller groups to discuss what we need to campaign on for Scotland to become a socially just nation.
1.20 LUNCH
During lunch women will be asked to prioritise some of the suggestions arising from the Cafe Conversations.
Please note that lunch is not provided, but there are many shops, etc. around the venue or you can bring your own lunch .
2.15 Indy Ref 2 - Let's Set the Agenda!
Maggie Lennon from the National Committee will outline Women for Independence's ideas for a holistic approach to a second independence referendum, putting women at the centre of the big issues like economics, social security, food and rights.
2.30 Open Mic on Independence
The floor is open for any woman to take to the microphone and give her opinions on how Women for Independence should fight the next referendum campaign.
3.20 Inspiring Women - Jeane Freeman MSP
Jeane Freeman MSP is a founding member of Women for Independence and currently Minister for Social Security in the Scottish Government. We are delighted to welcome her back and to hear from her.
3.40 Making it Local
Margaret Young from the National Committee will discuss how we can take our independence message locally, including through local Women for Indy groups. She will outline the timeline for the current Independence Referendum Bill consultation and how to get involved.

If you have any additional needs or questions concerning access, please get in touch and we will do all that we can to facilitate your participation. While this is a women-only event, disabled women who have a male PA are welcome to bring him. If you are bringing a PA please book two tickets.
